You are invited to JOIN the National Taskforce on Tradeswomen’s Issues(TWTF) for 4 days of Professional Development focused on advancing access, opportunity, and equity for women in the trades before and after Trades Women Build Nations in Chicago, Illinois on September 18, 19, 21 and 22.
Note: The National Taskforce on Tradeswomen’s Issues is not a part of North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) or TradesFutures. Our convenings are scheduled at times that do not conflict with the Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference (TWBN), September 19-21.
Our venue is about a 15-minute drive from the TradesFutures TWBN Conference location.
Apprentices are welcome and we have scholarships available!
We are very excited about the informative and skill-building programming we will be offering, as well as the opportunity to meet and share with all of you!
Our Tentative Agenda is as follows:
~Day 1: 2025 Federal Policy and Responses
- Thursday, September 18th, 10:00am to 4:30 pm: We will be serving morning and afternoon coffee and providing lunch.
- Thursday, September 18th, 5:00pm to 7:00pm: Building the Tradeswomen Movement hosted by Chicago Women in Trades, is a free event. Separate registration is required, and space is limited. Click Here to Register for Building the Tradeswomen Movement
~ Day 2: Organizing for Change, Preparing Next Generation, Leadership Paths
- Friday, September 19th, 8:00am to 12:10 pm: breakfast will be served.
~Day 3: Building Towards Action
- Sunday, September 21st, 1:00pm to 4:30 pm: lunch will be provided.
~Day 4: Strength and Solidarity
- Monday, September 22nd, 8:00am to 2:30 pm: we will provide coffee, breakfast, and lunch.
